Features:

  • All-acrylic high-solids emulsion (55% solids, -12 degrees C Tg)
  • APEO and formaldehyde-free
  • A great balance of tensile and elongation properties
  • Adhesion to commonly used substrates in roofing applications
  • Produced in North America but can be supplied globally based on specific customer interest

Benefits:

  • Long-term reflectivity
  • Asphalt bleed resistance
  • Excellent dirt pickup resistance
  • Excellent low-temperature flexibility
  • Excellent early water and humidity resistance
  • Meet multiple industry standards, including ASTM D-6083 Type II, California Title 24 and others

Cool roof coatings are continually evolving as formulators and legislators look for new solutions to provide greater levels of performance while still meeting global environmental standards. Cool roof coatings: An innovation for sustainability

Cool roof coatings: An innovation for sustainability

Cool roof coatings contain white or special reflective pigments. They are flexible, liquid applied, waterproofing membranes that adhere to a variety of substrates.

Cool roof coatings improve sustainability in construction

Reduction in energy consumption is achieved by decreasing air-conditioning needs. Cool roof coatings decrease roof temperature and extend roof life. With cool roof coatings, urban heat island effects are reduced and peak electricity demand is lowered resulting in lower power plant emissions such as oxides of carbon, sulfur, and nitrogen!

Evolving roof coating standards

ASTM D6083 Type I and II standards are meant to ensure quality, safety, and consistent performance across different construction substrates.

The use of cool roof coatings is growing globally!

Cool roof coatings are growing worldwide as their value in reducing the carbon footprint and energy costs are becoming known. They are increasingly becoming part of new green building codes and are helping to lower energy costs by 20-30% annually.
